- Based on recent calls, here are some helpful tips regarding snaking and camera use:
- A drain cannot be inspected with a camera if it is clogged. If the pipe is filled with water or sewage the camera will not produce pictures/video.
- If the blockage is sludge or sludge like both the camera and the snake may bypass the obstruction.
- Jetting is the most effective method for cleaning most drains due to the high water pressure that effectively clears out the pipes. This water pressure hits the entire pipe and not just partial

He replaced the stem, added a new washer, greased the stem, checked the seat, inspected the packing, and reinstalled the existing stem—all while providing a warranty for the repair. Beetles Plumbing was contacted by a homeowner in Lakewood regarding a gas leak. The gas company had already shut off their gas supply. Beetles arrived at the home within hours and discovered that, although the gas company had replaced the main supply line, that was not the source of the leak. Consequently, they turned off the gas once more. Larry Jr. and LB3 conducted an air test, which revealed two additional leaks in the piping system: one in a 3/4" 90-degree fitting and another in a 3/4" tee. The team carefully removed the necessary pipes and fittings, ensuring access with unions, and sealed the threads with an approved sealant. They then reinstalled the existing piping and offered a one-year warranty on the seal. The gas company subsequently inspected the work and approved the reactivation of the gas supply.

Brecksville homeowners reached out to Beetles Plumbing Solutions for the installation of rough plumbing in their upcoming bathroom remodel. The Beetles crew opened the necessary floor sections around the tub's water supply, cut the hot and cold water lines, and provided and installed PEX lines while relocating them in the wall as per the owner's request. Additionally, the drains were rerouted, and vent lines were adjusted to accommodate a double bowl sink. All water stub outs will be copper, and all drain stub outs will be capped. As always, the team ensures the home is cleaner than when they arrived, removing any debris. If you're a homeowner planning your own projects, the Beetles team is ready to assist. The homeowner will handle the finishing touches, knowing that professionals have expertly managed the rough plumbing.

Recently, we had the opportunity to work at a local dental office. Beetles Plumbing is proud to partner with numerous dental practices, and we understand the importance of keeping the environment clean while respecting their schedules and avoiding cancellations of those much-anticipated appointments. Dental offices have various plumbing needs, and we were delighted to assist Heights Family Dental.
One of their operatory rooms encountered an issue with a malfunctioning pump.
After hours, the Beetles Team stepped in to tackle the job, which included:
- Removing the existing Saniflo pump from the access door
- Supplying and installing a replacement Saniswift pump
- Connecting to the existing electrical system
- Attaching to the current inlets and outlet piping
- Hauling away and disposing of the old pump
- Providing a one-year labor warranty
Thanks to our team's efforts, they were back in operation the very next day, ready to serve their valued patients.

Storm Sewer RepairStorm Sewer Repair
The Beetles team recently visited one of the many local VFWs we serve. Their new Commander is eager to modernize the Hall and eliminate temporary fixes that have been draining funds. Our team took charge and hand-excavated the storm sewer on the side of the building, where the sump line connects to the storm line.
- Provided and installed a 4" cleanout and confirmed the connection type from the sump line.
- Used a camera to inspect the line up to 100' for any obstructions.
- Installed new piping with stone bedding and backfilled with existing materials.
During this process, we discovered the following:
- A belly in the pipe just past the sump line connection.
- The storm line leading to the backyard was clogged with mud and required jetting.
- A large root ball was found at the discharge pipe in the back yard, which was removed to improve flow to the manhole.
The VFW is on track for a hassle-free future.

Beetles received a call from new homeowners who are also expecting parents in Brecksville. They had two old 50-gallon vented power water tanks—one was leaking, while the other was on the verge of failure. The owner visited and presented several solutions, suggesting that the new State tankless water systems would be an excellent choice. Larry outlined the complete scope of work, providing additional details about this maintenance-free system. The homeowners appreciated this option for its sleek appearance and the extra space it would free up. Beetles drained, removed, and disposed of the old tanks, then supplied and installed a STATE endless tankless water heater. This included installing vent piping, rerouting the water supply, and connecting it to the existing gas line, along with a two-year labor warranty and an impressive 15-year warranty on the tank heat exchanger. Remarkably, all of this cost less than installing two standard heaters. The Beetles team left the young couple with peace of mind, value, and complete knowledge of their system.
